On Friday, the 3rd May, Pat Coyle, a former BBC journalist who now manages communications for the Irish Jesuits, animated a very dynamic and practical session about media and communications. She gave us much useful advice and suggestions, enthusiasm and hope in dealing with the media, especially with interviews. It will be part of our mission, spreading the good news by many means.
John Dardis S.J., President of the Jesuit Conference of European Provincials, presided at the Eucharist and celebrated the feast day of the apostles Philip and Thomas. As our tertianship nears its end, John invited us to receive our mission with a large and generous heart. During the classical haustus, Pascal’s parents thanked everyone for our good welcoming them, and offered reproductions of a homemade icon of St Ignatius and St Francis.
Monday, the 29th April – After the quite usual sharing about our reflections on the past week, Seweryn, Lucas, Antun and Pascal presented their work on part VIII of the Constitutions, helping the whole group to reflect on the qualities of our community life and its importance for the Mission. In the evening, we welcomed Pascal’s parents, who’ll spend a few days among us as guests.
Tuesday was dedicated to reflection on part IX of the Constitutions. (more…)

Jozef, Anto, Barnabas and Fernando presented the fruits of their reading and reflection before inviting all to a personal reflection, prayer and sharing on our own experience of obedience.
Monday, the 15th – We started our common work this week with a sharing from the heart, a personal reflection on the last two weeks since the return from our placements. After this harvest, Jan gave an introduction to Part X of the Constitutions.
Tuesday morning was devoted to an historical analysis of the suppression and restoration of the Society which happened two centuries ago. Our fellow tertian John and our neighbour Todd Morrissey sj presented the facts, and also the causes and effects of these events, while Jan presented the life of Fr de Cloriviere, a French Jesuit whose life was a bridge between the two periods of the Society. These historical lectures helped us enter a reflection for nowadays, with five questions asked by our Father General (more…)
