During the three sessions of this day, Sr. Anne Codd, PBVM, offered us some sociological tools to reflect on our way of proceeding in our ministries, and more largely in the Church: reflecting for example on the different dimensions of the Mission, or on the organization of power and authority in our institutions and communities. We had first a sharing about the learnings so far in tertianship and the challenges of our experiment, in order to welcome more deeply the changes in our lives that the Lord offered us during the long retreat. Then we received a lecture by Joe about the meaning of the experiments in our formation. (more…)
The Mass celebrated Mary, the Holy Mary Mother of God, and also Mother of our least Society. On the evening, Jean Yves Grenet, the Provincial of France, arrived, for a few days
among us, to visit Jacques and Pascal.
Wednesday, the 2nd
After this long and good Christmas break, we start again the usual work with sessions and personal work: after a reflection and sharing about the retreat (how can I keep the fruits of this retreat in my daily life ?), Jan introduced us to the reading and studying of the Constitutions, parts I to V. We finish the great retreat this morning. We have to reenter the daily life and its rhythm, after the long experience of silence and prayer, and to collect the fruits of this experience. Jacques will join his family for 2 days, for the burial of his grandmother. We pray with him and for him.
Friday, the 21st
We have a personal time to collect the first impressions of this retreat, and to share with others the fruits we can name at this stage. To prepare a more complete review of our great retreat, we are helped by precise questions, in order to collect the main fruits we received from God during these blessed days. We join the Manresa spiritual center team (more…)
From the 19th of November to the 20th of December, we will live the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola. We will keep silent during this time in order to pray more intensively and to hear better the Word of our Lord. To be removed from usual occupations (internet, mail, conversations, activities…) will help us to enter this internal world, wherein our Lord lives and meets us. That is why we will suspend this blog for four weeks, as we will do with our personal communications. From now on, all of the adventure will be on the inside! The link between us will be by prayer only, but indeed this is the most powerful link we can experience. Through silence and prayer, our communion will be even deeper… Over the next thirty days, we would appreciate your prayers for us retreatants as well as for our tertian instructors, Fr. Joe Dargan and Fr. Jan van de Poll. We assure you of our prayers…
