Róbert Gočala

Róbert was born in 1973 in Martin, in the middle of Slovakia. After secondary school and military service, he worked as a hospital nurse, entering the Society of Jesus in 1996. He studied philosophy and theology in Bratislava, spending regency was in Kosice as supervisor in a Jesuit hostel for two years (2000-2002). Róbert was ordained in 2006 and sent as a spiritual guide in the Retreat House in Prešov.

Piaras Jackson

A native of Cappamore, County Limerick, Ireland, Piaras was born in 1962. He was ordained for the dioceses of Cashel and Emly and was curate in Rinn ó gCuanach, Waterford, before studying religious education in Dublin and in New York. He worked widely in the catechetical field before joining the Society of Jesus in 2003. After his novitiate in Birmingham, he studied journalism in Dublin City University and worked in communications in the Irish province, most recently as editor of Sacred Space, the daily prayer site.


Pavel Bačo

Pavel was born in 1974 in Slavičín, Czech Republic. He joined the Jesuits in 1992 and, after finishing his novitiate in 1994, was sent to study philosophy in Munich, Germany. Between 1996 and 1998 he did his regency back in Brno, Czech Republic. From 1998 he studied theology at Milltown Park, Dublin and went on to gain a Masters in Systematic Theology at Heythrop College, London. In 2002 was ordained priest and, from February 2003 until September 2011, worked in university chaplaincy in Olomouc, Czech Republic.

Lourenço Eiró

Lourenço Eiró was born in Lisbon, Portugal in 1970. Having attended Jesuit High School in Lisbon he studied hotel management in Porto, joining the Society of Jesus at 23. After philosophy studies in Braga (Portugal), he spent Regency in a Jesuit school in Santo Tirso before going to Madrid, Spain, where he did studied Theology in Comillas University before going to Rome to study pedagogy in the Salesian Pontificial University. He then returned to work in Colegio das Caldinhas, Santo Tirso, as pastoral coordinator, teaching religion, organising pastoral activities such as reflection days, weekends and other pastoral events for students. He was also the catechetical coordinator of the school and coordinator of the Jesuit Camping association (Campinácios) while working for a masters degree in religious in the Catholic University of Oporto.

Jarosław Paszyński

Born in 1970 in Wodzislaw Slaski, Poland, Jaroslaw studied philosophy (1989-94) and worked at the Catholic University in Lublin from 1994 to 1997 when he joined the Society of Jesus. After novitiate in Stara Wies he spent his regency in Krakow as a teacher of philosophy. He studied theology in Frankfurt am Main and Rome and was ordained in 2005. Since 2006 he has been teaching philosophy at the Jesuit Ignatianum University in Krakow.

Gabriel Pigache

Born in Lille (France) in 1971, Gabriel graduated as an agricultural engineer in 1994. After two years volunteering (civil service) in a Nature Park (Vercors) he joined the Society of Jesus in 1996 and followed the regular French Jesuit path of formation: noviciate in Lyon; philosophy and theology in Paris and a two-year regency in Icam (School of Engineering) – Nantes. After his diaconal ordination (2006), he was appointed to Lille as coordinator of internal engineering courses in Icam-Lille. He was ordained priest in Lille in 2007.
