john_meehan_presidingMonday, the 29th April – After the quite usual sharing about our reflections on the past week, Seweryn, Lucas, Antun and Pascal presented their work on part VIII of the Constitutions, helping the whole group to reflect on the qualities of our community life and its importance for the Mission. In the evening, we welcomed Pascal’s parents, who’ll spend a few days among us as guests.

Tuesday was dedicated to reflection on part IX of the Constitutions. So a first group (Lucas, Barnabas, Elias, Antun) presented the mission and helps of the father general, while the second group (John, Anto, Pascal, Seweryn) underlined some aspects of governance in the Society (mainly according to GC35 d5) and illustrated the priorities of the Society by presenting “the Roman houses”.  Then we welcomed at Mass and lunch Fr. Wojciech Ziolek SJ, provincial of South Poland, who came here to visit Seweryn, but also our whole community. French wine from Pascal’s parents arrived in good time for this event, and we enjoyed French food in the evening.

Wednesday, the 1st of May, was a day consecrated to reading and personal work. We also read the “books” of nature and of human culture through delightful visits, and worked very practically on our contemplative mission, finding God in everything…

On Thursday the group of Jacques, Jozef, Fernando and Damjan presented their reflection on part X of the Constitutions, especially the rule of moderation, the promotion of vocations and the devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Then Joe and Jan gave us, from their rich experiences, some examples, advice and encouragement for us to give the Spiritual Exercises in the future.

So, our tertianship is more and more looking forward as we prepare for our next missions…
