This peaceful day prepared us for the Mass we celebrated at 9 pm in the spirituality centre with the community and many friends of the retreat house. And at midnight, we added a piece to the crib.

Tuesday, the 25th

The festive Mass was celebrated with the whole community of the Centre, in the afternoon. During these days of Christmas break we have time for rest, for holidays, for friends and family, and also simply to continue the contemplation of this fundamental mystery: the Incarnation of God among us.

Wednesday, the 26th

Celebrating St. Stephen’s, and meeting – as the days later – the community for meals.

From Thursday the 27th to Monday the 31st

This period of holidays was spent differently: Four of us went to Galway and discovered the West coast of Ireland, with a nice and warmly welcoming community, some wild and great landscapes, and of course, an uncertain weather… The others remained in Dublin, enjoying the city or the countryside around.

After our gathering for dinner, we finished the year and started the new one, simply and friendly, some of us going to the city center for the fireworks, others remaining at home; at midnight, we heard the sound of the boats announcing the new year…
