Celebrating massWednesday, the 26th

Sharing of the heart today with Pascal, Seweryn and Jacques.  Other stories, other styles, but the same method and spiritual fruits, receiving from each other the foundations of human life, Christian life and Jesuit life.

Beautiful weather, Mass presided by Fernando, meals prepared by Tommy…   In the evening, we had the possibility of joining the Jesuit Spirituality Center for a film in their weekly movie series followed by discussion.  This week the movie was Field of Dreams and several of us went to see it.

The website is now open with our photographs and first comments…

Some announcements have clarified and ‘opened’ the next few weeks, and we know enough now to enjoy the program…

And Elias is still on his way …

Thursday, the 27th

Sharing of the heart continued today with Jozef, Anto and John.  New stories, new topics, but again the same method and rich spiritual fruits.  We continued to listen and speak, perhaps realizing that even if, in the words of today’s reading, “there is nothing new under the sun”, the newness is in the other’s experience, in the word offered today, and in the surprise of God’s grace, always at work, but always new for the one who experiences it.

Beautiful weather, Mass presided by Jacques (in memory of St Vincent of Paul, but also the anniversary of the Foundation of the Society).

And Elias is still on his way …

Friday, the 28th

Today we finished our sessions on “sharing from the heart” with Barnabas and Fernando.  They offered their experiences as everyone had done before, as a gift presented in total confidence.

The Mass was presided by Jan, and the afternoon was free, in order to allow for time to reflect and relax after these strong moments.

In the evening, we again had a haustus, which became an occasion for various songs, while another group was hard at work on a jigsaw puzzle…

And Elias is still on his way, we hope…

Saturday, the 29th

For the feast of the Archangels, nothing special was planned apart from Mass for this occasion, and everyone spent the day according to his needs.  While some went into the city, others practiced sports or rested at home… The weather was nice and Jozef cooked a Slovakian meal (that Elias missed, of course…).

Sunday, the 30th

Another free day, with Masses celebrated in different places. Beautiful weather, Slovenian food cooked by Damjan (and missed by Elias as usual…).
