Pat Coyle, Jesuit Communications Manager, spent Tuesday 8 May with the tertians helping them to review how they might best engage with the media in their apostolates. She progressed from the analysis of examples to the discussion of various topics and concluded by inviting a number of tertians to be interviewed on a range of topics. These were then played back and discussed with the group. One of them – an interview with Brendan McManus about tertianship – can be played here.

The last main event of the Tertianship was an eight-day retreat which began on Tuesday evening. during the following days the tertians met with their directors each day and began, in their different ways, to assimilate and integrate their Tertianship experience.

A number of concluding events began once the retreat finished on Wednesday 16 May. Time was taken to thank Tommy and Sylvia for their helpful services during the year and to systematically review and evaluate the year.

The closing mass of the year was held on the morning of May 19 after which the tertians began the process of packing and tidying preparing to depart at various times during the following week.
